I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. You can tell why this work has endured. Would buy from this store again.
First purchase from this shop. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Needed this for my research. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. Some archaic spellings slow things down. Still worth having on the shelf.
My book club chose this last month. A text you study rather than simply read. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Well worth it.
Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. Good, with the caveats above.
