I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Good, with the caveats above.
My book club chose this last month. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Solid, if not essential.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. A text you study rather than simply read. Already eyeing my next order.
Long-time student of the esoteric here. Not a light read, but far more accessible than I feared. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Still worth having on the shelf.
This edition finally does the material justice. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. Shipping was quick too.
