As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Recommended with reservations.
First purchase from this shop. Not a light read, but far more accessible than I feared. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Good, with the caveats above.
