This edition finally does the material justice. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. You can tell why this work has endured. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Solid, if not essential.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Highly recommend to serious students.
I keep coming back to this one. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. Glad I finally picked this up.
As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Recommended with reservations.
