This exceeded my expectations. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Glad I finally picked this up.
I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. A keeper.

Exactly what I was looking for. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. The font runs small in the appendices. Still worth having on the shelf.
