Was skeptical at first. The historical context alone makes it worth the price.
Arrived faster than expected and well packaged. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. Shipping was quick too.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Happy enough with the purchase.
I keep coming back to this one. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. The font runs small in the appendices. Solid, if not essential.
