Grabbed this during a weekend order. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Solid, if not essential.
Exactly what I was looking for. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. Glad I finally picked this up.
My third book from this store and this one might be the best. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. The font runs small in the appendices. Happy enough with the purchase.
I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Solid, if not essential.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. A text you study rather than simply read. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
