I collect works on this subject and this is a worthy addition. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes.
As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Some archaic spellings slow things down.
This edition finally does the material justice. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. Still worth having on the shelf.

Been hunting for a decent copy of this text for ages. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. The font runs small in the appendices.
