Exactly what I was looking for. You can tell why this work has endured. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. Still worth having on the shelf.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. A keeper.
A friend in my study group recommended this one. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Still worth having on the shelf.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. Definitely recommend.
