Been hunting for a decent copy of this text for ages. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Five stars from me.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. Deserves a place on any esoteric bookshelf.
Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. Highly recommend to serious students.
My third book from this store and this one might be the best. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. Good, with the caveats above.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
Arrived faster than expected and well packaged. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Happy enough with the purchase.
