Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. It's become a regular reference in my practice. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. The font runs small in the appendices. Recommended with reservations.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Good, with the caveats above.
This edition finally does the material justice. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
