This edition finally does the material justice. A text you study rather than simply read. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. Some archaic spellings slow things down. Happy enough with the purchase.
I've read excerpts online before, but having the full text is different. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. One of my better finds this year.
I collect works on this subject and this is a worthy addition. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. You can tell why this work has endured. Well worth it.
My book club chose this last month. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. Shipping was quick too.
I collect works on this subject and this is a worthy addition. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Already eyeing my next order.
