Been hunting for a decent copy of this text for ages. You can tell why this work has endured. A keeper.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. If you're drawn to this subject, don't hesitate.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. Every rereading turns up something I missed. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Good, with the caveats above.
My book club chose this last month. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way.
