My third book from this store and this one might be the best. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. Every rereading turns up something I missed. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Good, with the caveats above.
Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Added this to my reference shelf. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. Great value for what you get.
Been hunting for a decent copy of this text for ages. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. Happy enough with the purchase.
My book club chose this last month. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Good, with the caveats above.
First purchase from this shop. It's become a regular reference in my practice. Recommended with reservations.
Needed this for my research. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Recommended with reservations.
