This edition finally does the material justice. The ideas are old but land with surprising force today. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. Highly recommend to serious students.
First purchase from this shop. It's become a regular reference in my practice. A text you study rather than simply read. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Good, with the caveats above.

Long-time student of the esoteric here. Every rereading turns up something I missed. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Already eyeing my next order.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Solid, if not essential.
Took a chance on this and glad I did. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Happy enough with the purchase.
