Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. Great value for what you get.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. You can tell why this work has endured. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Recommended with reservations.

Was skeptical at first. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. The font runs small in the appendices. Solid, if not essential.
Finally got around to ordering this. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected.
