As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. It's become a regular reference in my practice. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Still worth having on the shelf.
Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. Every rereading turns up something I missed.
Exactly what I was looking for. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition.
Been hunting for a decent copy of this text for ages. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. Still worth having on the shelf.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. The font runs small in the appendices.
