Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. It's become a regular reference in my practice. Five stars from me.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected.
This exceeded my expectations. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. If you're drawn to this subject, don't hesitate.
Grabbed this during a weekend order. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Well worth it.
A friend in my study group recommended this one. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Every rereading turns up something I missed. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Long-time student of the esoteric here. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point.
