Grabbed this during a weekend order. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. One of my better finds this year.
Long-time student of the esoteric here. The historical context alone makes it worth the price.
Exactly what I was looking for. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. A text you study rather than simply read. Well worth it.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected.
My book club chose this last month. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Solid, if not essential.
