I collect works on this subject and this is a worthy addition. I appreciated how the argument builds steadily from first principles. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected.
Finally got around to ordering this. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
A friend in my study group recommended this one. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. Delivery took a bit longer than quoted. Recommended with reservations.
