Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. Glad I finally picked this up.
This edition finally does the material justice. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Some archaic spellings slow things down.
This edition finally does the material justice. Not a light read, but far more accessible than I feared. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. Good, with the caveats above.
My third book from this store and this one might be the best. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Some archaic spellings slow things down. Happy enough with the purchase.
