This has been on my wishlist for months. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. Some archaic spellings slow things down. Recommended with reservations.
Needed this for my research. Not a light read, but far more accessible than I feared. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Still worth having on the shelf.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. My only regret is not ordering it sooner.
My third book from this store and this one might be the best. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. A few pages arrived with light corner wear, though nothing serious. Good, with the caveats above.
