A friend in my study group recommended this one. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Good, with the caveats above.
Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. The font runs small in the appendices. Good, with the caveats above.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. Would buy from this store again.
