Came across this title in a footnote and had to track it down. Solid binding, decent paper — holds up to heavy use. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Still worth having on the shelf.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. The print is clean and easy on the eyes for long sessions. Definitely recommend.
As someone who reads a lot in this field, I can be picky. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. It assumes more background than a beginner might have.
This edition finally does the material justice. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. A text you study rather than simply read. Solid, if not essential.
