Long-time student of the esoteric here. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. One of my better finds this year.
This edition finally does the material justice. The symbolism is layered and generous to patient readers. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. If you're drawn to this subject, don't hesitate.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. Shipping was quick too.
Took a chance on this and glad I did. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. Well worth it.
Honestly wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm impressed. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. Five stars from me.
