Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Still worth having on the shelf.
My book club chose this last month. Plenty of passages worth underlining; my copy is already full of margin notes. A few pages arrived with light corner wear, though nothing serious. Happy enough with the purchase.
I keep coming back to this one. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. The historical context alone makes it worth the price. Well worth it.
