Added this to my reference shelf. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Recommended with reservations.
This edition finally does the material justice. I found myself reading passages aloud just to sit with them.
This exceeded my expectations. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. It assumes more background than a beginner might have. Good, with the caveats above.
Bought this as a gift for my sister and ended up ordering a second copy for myself. A text you study rather than simply read. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text.
My third book from this store and this one might be the best. Challenging in places, but never needlessly obscure.
