Not my usual area but wanted to branch out. The text itself is dense but rewarding — you get out what you put in. It reads better in small doses — a chapter at a time with notes.
My third book from this store and this one might be the best. It rewards patience more than any book I've bought this year. The language takes some getting used to, but it becomes part of the charm. Recommended if you're ready to do the work.
I keep coming back to this one. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. I'd have loved an index, but that's on the original text. Recommended with reservations.
This edition finally does the material justice. There's real depth here that reveals itself on a second reading. My only quibble is the cover feels thinner than expected. Still worth having on the shelf.
Finally got around to ordering this. It pairs well with more modern commentaries on the same tradition. Great value for what you get.
Needed this for my research. Some sections stopped me cold in the best way. It connects ideas I'd only seen treated separately elsewhere. Will be gifting a copy to a friend.
Ordered this after seeing it referenced in another book I was studying. Some chapters demand a slow, careful read, and that's exactly the point. The material is presented clearly and the structure makes it easy to revisit key passages. Glad I finally picked this up.
